Eau de Grey Flannel Cologne by Geoffrey Beene is a woody aromatic cologne for men, launched in 1997. Note the distinction: this is a separate fragrance from the famous 1975 Grey Flannel — none of that scent's galbanum, oakmoss or violet notes appear here. The 1997 composition opens on cedar leaf, lemon, mandarin orange, thyme, cypress and star anise, green and aromatic. Eucalyptus, lavender, clary sage and patchouli shape a cool herbal heart. Musk, sandalwood, vetiver and woody notes give the base clean masculine depth. Sold as a cologne and recorded at EDC strength, it is a crisp, composed scent for daily wear. A fresh, modern counterpart to its legendary predecessor.
