Passion by Elizabeth Taylor, from 1988, is the original women’s fragrance — “Perfume” in the title is generic; the standard retail format is Eau de Toilette, and this is a different scent from both Franck Olivier’s Passion and Elizabeth Taylor’s men’s Passion.
It is a grand oriental floral in the unapologetic 1980s manner.
Aldehydes, coriander, gardenia, artemisia, ylang-ylang, bergamot, and lily-of-the-valley open with a sparkling, green-floral rush.
Spicy notes, sandalwood, honey, tuberose, patchouli, orris root, heliotrope, cedar, jasmine, and rose build a voluptuous, honeyed heart.
