Hugo Dark Blue by Hugo Boss is a men's eau de toilette from 1999 — despite the word "Cologne" in the product title, this is an EDT spray. Created by Alain Astori and Beatrice Piquet, it is an amber-spicy with a citrus opening and a warm, sweet base.
Ginger, grapefruit, orange, lime, and lemon open bright and zesty with a spicy ginger bite. Cypress, cardamom, mahogany, geranium, and sage give the middle a green, aromatic depth. Vanilla, cedar, benzoin, vetiver, and patchouli dry down warm and smooth.
A classic late-90s masculine — confident for the office by day, warm enough for evenings.
