Elie Saab Le Parfum Royal is a 2019 eau de parfum for women composed by Maia Lernout, a richer and more opulent take on the original Le Parfum. An ambery floral chypre, it centers on rose and neroli over patchouli, vanilla, and sandalwood.
The opening combines a radiant accord with mandarin essence. The mandarin gives the top a sparkling citrus brightness. The middle is rose-driven: Turkish rose absolute and Bulgarian rose joined by Lebanese neroli. The two roses bring a lush, honeyed floral depth, while the neroli adds a fresh, green-citrus lift.
The base pairs patchouli essence with vanilla, Indian sandalwood essence, and amber. Patchouli gives the dry-down its chypre character, softened by vanilla's sweetness and warmed by sandalwood and amber.
