XS by Paco Rabanne is the original 1993 men's Eau de Toilette, created by Michel Almerac, despite the catalog's cologne billing. The true concentration is Eau de Toilette. Bergamot, lemon, rosemary, mint and tarragon open the scent with a cool, aromatic freshness. Juniper berries, sage, savory and lavender carry the composition through a green herbal middle. The dry-down rests on sandalwood, musk, amber, patchouli and oakmoss. Distinct from the later Black XS, this is the classic woody aromatic of the line. It remains one of the definitive aromatic masculine scents of the nineties.
