Splendor by Elizabeth Arden is an oriental floral Eau de Parfum for women, created by James Krivda and launched in 1998. It is a generous bouquet built on abundance rather than restraint.
The opening is a cascade of blooms - hyacinth, wisteria, freesia, peony and sweet pea - brightened by apple, bergamot and pineapple. The heart deepens into a classic floral arrangement of lily-of-the-valley, lily, jasmine, magnolia, tea rose, rose, orchid and poppy. Musk, cedar, sandalwood, Brazilian rosewood, amber and dark woodsy notes ground the finish with warm, lasting depth.
This is the original 1998 Eau de Parfum, not one of the later Splendor flankers. It reads as a romantic, full-wearing scent for evenings and special occasions.
