Xeryus Rouge by Givenchy is a 1995 eau de toilette for men by perfumer Annick Menardo, an oriental flanker of the 1986 Xeryus. Cactus, kumquat, and tarragon open the scent with a green, citrusy bite that feels entirely its own.
Red pepper heats up the heart, balanced by African geranium and the crisp green of cedar needles. Cedar, sandalwood, white musk, and grey amber form a warm, smooth base. Where the original Xeryus is a green aromatic, Rouge is warmer and spicier, a distinctly 1990s take on masculine orientals.
