Y Le Parfum by Yves Saint Laurent is the 2021 flanker and the darkest interpretation of Y, catalogued as a cologne but truly a Le Parfum concentration. Grapefruit, apple, aldehydes and ginger open with a charged citrus spark. Sage, lavender and geranium move through a drier, more herbal heart. Cedar, olibanum, tonka bean and patchouli anchor a resinous, wood-driven base. Crafted by Dominique Ropion and Claire Liegent, this version trades the original's mineral brightness for smoked warmth. The apple accord remains the recognizable Y signature, now dressed in deeper tones.
